The National Hellenic Museum Joins Smithsonian magazine’s 12th Annual Museum Day Live!

Enjoy free admission to the National Hellenic Museum on September 24, 2016, with a Downloadable Museum Day Live! Ticket. Visitors who present the Museum Day Live! ticket will gain free entrance for two at participating venues. One ticket per household is permitted. This is also the last week to see the Museum’s Olympics exhibit. This is the twelfth annual Museum Day Live!, on which participating museums across the United States emulate the spirit of the Smithsonian Institution’s Washington DC-based facilities, which offer free admission every day.

Museum Day Live! is inclusive by design and represents a commitment to make the spread of knowledge accessible to everyone. Rena Lee, Director of Museum Experience at the National Hellenic Museum said this: “It gives us the opportunity to showcase our exhibits free of charge. We hope the community will take advantage of this beautiful day to visit the Museum and leave with a greater appreciation of Greek history and culture.”

The National Hellenic Museum is a storytelling museum that connects Ancient Greece to the modern experience by highlighting its relevance in contemporary politics, theater, art, sports, and economy. The exhibitions and cultural programs are inventive, unique, and share the Greek story from unexpected points of view.
