Greektown Construction Updates April 2020
The Jane Byrne (formerly Circle) Interchange Project is underway, and the SSA #16 would like to share the latest updates from the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) and how the construction impacts the Greektown neighborhood. The Jackson Boulevard Bridge and ramps are closed, and traffic will be rerouted onto Van Buren Street with ramp traffic shifted to Madison Street and Monroe Street. Pedestrians should use the Van Buren Street Bridge as an alternative route. The new bridge is expected to reopen by the end of 2022.
