Lighting Installations in Greektown Improves the Neighborhood’s Safety

The SSA #16 continues to make positive improvements to ensure safety and security in Greektown, with its most recent development being additional lighting installations in the neighborhood. LED light fixtures have been installed on street poles along Halsted Street in Greektown to brighten the area and make residents and visitors feel safe and secure.

“We want people to participate in all that Greektown has to offer, from its Greek dining to its nightlife to its rich cultural traditions. The new lighting installations will allow more people to experience Chicago’s go-to Greek destination by improving safety within the community,” says Tia Angelos, Greektown SSA #16’s new Program Director.

The lighting installations, along with the recent security program updates, demonstrate how the SSA #16 prioritizes protecting the Greektown neighborhood and those in it.
