Little Wise Owl Ribbon Cutting
The opening of Greektown’s newest public art exhibition, Little Wise Owls, was a HOOT! The art exhibition consists of 28 vibrant three-dimensional sculptures of owls that showcase the creativity of 19 professional and emerging artists and students from 9 local Greek language schools. 34th Ward Alderman Bill Conway, Consul General of Greece in Chicago Emmanuel Koubarakis, Commissioner of the Chicago’s Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events Clinée Hedspeth, Greektown Chicago Commissioners and Representatives from the Greektown Educational Foundation, the celebrated artists and other honored guests all attended to see the owls revealed.
The exhibition will be on display along Greektown’s strip of Halsted, so make sure to stop and see the owls when you come down for dinner!
