Merchant Spotlight: Artopolis

Located at 306 S Halsted St. in a modern loft-style space with an open-air kitchen, Artopolis is a unique culinary experience created to bring a true European-style cafe to Chicago. Since 1999, Artopolis has blended modern kitchen technologies with longstanding passion and experience to produce a variety of freshly baked, aromatic culinary offerings. All delicacies can be enjoyed in the cafe or taken home to be savored. Delivery options are also available via Grubhub, UberEats and DoorDash.

Favorite menu items include signature artopitas, which are handcrafted savory pies made from flaky dough and filled with a selection of high-quality ingredients, including spinach & feta, kasseri & feta, chicken & mozzarella, and more. The brick oven pizzas are a must-have as they’re made from old world recipes and use the finest cheeses and olive oil. Enjoy pizza happy hour Monday to Friday from 3 to 7 p.m., which includes pizza and 2 mythos for $22. Everyday breakfast is also available, serving favorites such as spinach & feta omelette, gyro hash, gravlax & eggs, vegan artopita, berry mascarpone french toast and loukoumades (Greek beignets). Pair breakfast with a specialty espresso, including the brand new merenda latte or mandolatte. Last but not least, lunch combos are available Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and include any half salad, artopita or sandwich with a bowl of soup for $11.

In the Agora, you can find many speciality items and gifts primarily from Greece and Europe, including jars of marinated onions, olives, extra virgin olive oils, jams, several varieties of honey and sour cherries. Shop the wide variety of wines, which make for a great housewarming or hostess gift, and don’t forget to stop by The Bakery to purchase homemade cakes, sweets, breads and more.
