Merchant Spotlight – Kid’s STEM Studio
Greektown recently welcomed Kids STEM Studio (located at 770 W Gladys Ave) to the neighborhood and is excited to provide local families with a high-quality and affordable daycare option. It is extremely beneficial for kids to gain exposure to STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) at a young age, as it is a rapidly growing field that teaches skill sets being required by a growing number of employers. The programs available at Kids STEM Studio prepare children for their future, STEM-focused workshops and after-school programs allow students to express their natural desires to explore, experiment, and get a little messy.
Kids STEM Studio offers hands-on and minds-on lessons for students that make math and science both fun and interesting, helping students do much more than just learn. Their programs include robotics, engineering, coding and electronic game design, Minecraft modding, and science. In addition to their summer camp programs, Kids STEM Studio also has camps throughout spring and winter breaks. They offer studio workshops during the weekday evenings and Saturday mornings. For locals looking for birthday party venues, Kids STEM Studio also hosts themed birthday parties, like Minecraft Adventure, Crazy Chemistry or Lego Robotics.
Through experimenting and exploring the in-depth STEM exercises at Kids STEM Studio, children are able to activate natural curiosities and learn how to move from idea generation to implementation with real-world problems that encourage out-of-the box thinking.
