Save the Date: Watch the Chicago Marathon in Greektown
Mark your calendars for Sunday, October 13 – it is the 42nd annual Chicago Marathon and Greektown Chicago is a prime location to watch runners cross mile 17! Chicago locals and marathon spectators are all invited to join Greektown’s cheering station from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., located at Halsted and Gladys streets. Space and materials will be provided for viewers to make motivational signs, grab a cup of coffee, enjoy tasty Greek-themed cookies and pastries, support runners with spirited cheering items and enjoy upbeat Greek and American music performed by a DJ.
Greektown offers many excellent places for runners to indulge in pre-race carbo-loading or to enjoy a celebratory post-race meal with friends and family. Restaurants like Greek Islands, Santorini, and Athena are just a few of the many hot spots in Greektown!
