Spend a Day in Greektown to Get in the Holiday Spirit
Get into the holiday spirit by planning a family outing in Greektown! Start the day with a stroll through Greektown, where you’ll have the chance to see the hand-painted Christmas Karavakia boats which will be on display in the restaurant windows around the neighborhood from Nov. 26 through Jan. 16. Next, stop by Elysian Field where the Christmas tree will be lit up and decorated after Dec. 6. After walking around Greektown and soaking up the holiday cheer, pay a visit to Artopolis or Ground Up to warm up with a traditional Greek coffee or hot chocolate and a warm Greek pastry, such as the popular almond baklava.
